Catherine T. Hall, 92, Akron, formerly of Sergeant Bluff, died Wednesday, March 18, 1992, at the Akron Care Center after a brief illness.
Services were Saturday at Schroeder funeral home in Akron. Rev. Jack Hebard officiated. Soloist Leon a Jacobs, sang "Precious Lord" and "In The Garden", accompanied by Pam Von Hagel, pianist. Casketbearers were relatives and friends. Graveside rites were at Rose Hill Cemetery in Fender, Neb. Rev. William Anderson officiated. Arrangements were under direction of Schroeder Funeral home, Akron.
Mrs. Hall was born Jan. 16, 1900, in Dearborn, Mo., the daughter of Benjamin F. and May (Mullendore) Thomas. She graduated from Morningside College in Sioux City. She taught school in Iowa and Nebraska and most recently in South Sioux City. She served as Thurston county home extension' agent before her marriage. 'She married John T., Hall March 14, 1931 In Wayne, Neb. The Couple farmed near Sergeant Bluff for 52 years. He died in 1981, and she moved to the Akron Care Center in 1988.
Survivors include three sons and their wives, John T. and Bernice Hall of Omaha, Frank S. and Jewel Hall of San Diego, Calif., and James C. and Margaret Hall of Wayzata, Minn.; a daughter' and her husband, Lucymae and Gail L. Clausen of rural Le Mars; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, John S. Hall; a sister; and four brothers.
