Theodore Milton Kjose, 89, of Akron, died Wednesday (March 4, 1992), at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at South St. Paul's Lutheran church, rural Elk Point, S.D. Rev. Gene Eidsness officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery at Akron, under direction of Schroeder Funeral home in Akron.
Pallbearers were Ronald Kjose, Terry Kjose, Mitchell Kjose, Michael Kjose, Randall Kjose and Roy Dunham. Bernard Ofstehage, soloist sang "Under His Wings" and "He Leadeth Me". Dorothy Maurstad was organist.
Mr. Kjose was born Nov. 19, 1902, in Union County, S.D., the son of Mike and Ingeborg (Ofstehage) Kjose. HE farmed west of Akron until 1948 and then was a farm laborer until retiring to Akron in 1979.
Survivors include a sister, May Sorenson of California; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Olaf, Martin and Alfred; and three sisters, Gunda Beeler, Bertha Olson and Mabel Kness.
