Mrs. Oral (Janette) Hill, 62, Akron, died of an apparent heart attack Saturday (Sept. 1, 1984) at her home.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Patrick's Catholic church in Akron. The Rev. Stanley R. Stone officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph cemetery under the direction of the Schroeder funeral home of Akron. A rosary service was held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Gerald Smith, Arden Johnson, Lyle Jacobs, Joe Schmitz, Sylvester Zeren, and Clarence Bertrand. Honorary bearers were William Meinen, Ty Ryan and Edmund Blum.

Mrs. Hill, the former Janette Guenther, was born July 1, 1922 in Geddes, S.D. She graduated from Washington High School in Sioux Falls. She married Oral Hill April 7, 1947 in Sioux Falls.

They lived in Sioux Falls, Cherokee and Akron. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Akron Ladies Golf Association. An avid golfer, she enjoyed golfing with family and friends.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Juanita) Schmitz of Osh Kosh, Wis., Mary Hilt of Fort Ord, Calif., and Lisa Hill of Le Mars; three sons, John of Aberdeen, S.D., Mike of Quimby, and Patrick of Paullina; a brother, James of Chicago; a sister, Sister Mary Catherine of Dubuque; and 16 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother
