Life’s End.

HOLD SERVICES MONDAY FOR EDWIN HENRY RITER

Funeral services for Edwin Henry Riter, 90, retired LeMars area farmer, were at 2 p.m. Monday at Mauer funeral home chapel.

Rev. Harold Varce officiated. Burial was in LeMars Memorial cemetery.

Mr. Riter died Saturday morning (10/28/1967) after a brief illness at Brentwood Nursing home where he had resided since 1964.

He was born March 26, 1877, in Worth county, the son of John Jacob and Elizabeth (Walker) Riter.

He married Dorothea Detloff in August, 1905. She died in 1918.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Hanson of Lyons, Kan., and Mrs. Marjorie Hazel, of Sac City. Three sons, Eldon of Omaha, Dwight of Loveland, Colo., and Fred, of LeMars; a sister, Mrs. Louise Kerns of Rock Rapids; two brothers, Lester, also of Rock Rapids, and Charles of Sioux Falls, S.D.; 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
