Vernon G. Farmer
Vernon G. Farmer, 81, of Brunsville, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 1992, at his residence.
Services were held, Monday at the Hinton United Methodist Church, with Rev. Stan Long officiating. Burial was in the Floyd Valley Cemetery, rural Merrill.
Mr. Farmer was born April 20, 1911, at Bancroft, S.D., son of George W. and Lorena E. (Fett) Farmer. He Married Mildred B. (Spies) Farmer June 8, 1934, at the rural Merrill Melbourne United Methodist Church in rural Merrill, Iowa. He farmed for many years in the rural Le Mars area. He later worked for the ASCS for 15 years arid retired in 1978. He was a member of the Merrill Melbourn United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter and her husband, Carol and Marlin Albright of Brunsville; a son and his wife, William and Connie Farmer of Hinton; five grandchildren, Julie Schultz, Debra Pick, Darin Albright and Robert and Steve Farmer, and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rozella (Farmer) Hayden, and a brother, Arthur.
