Catherine Hauschild, 90, a lifelong Le Mars area resident, died
Sunday, June 28, 1992, at Brentwood Good Samaritan Center, LeMars.

Services were Wednesday at St. John's American Lutheran
church in Le Mars. Rev. David Kramer officiated. Burial was in
Memorial cemetery at Le Mars under direction of the Mauer-
Johnson funeral home in Le Mars.

Mrs. Hauschild was born June 17, 1902, at Grant Township,
rural Le Mars, to Onno and Agusta (Martfeld) Onken. She
married Frank Freiberg Feb. 7, 1923. He died May 11, 1952. She
married John Hauschild Sept. 24, 1954. He died Nov. 24, 1989.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. John's American
Lutheran church and the Women of the ELCA.

Survivors include two sisters, Etta Onken and Anna Kluver,
both of Le Mars; a step-daughter; nine step-grandchildren; 15 stepgreat-
grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; a
step-son; and three step-grandsons.
