Lane B. Bauerly, 32, 4311 Polk St., Sioux City, died Friday, July 24, 1992 in Sioux City. He was struck by lightning while working on construction in Sioux City.

Services were Monday at the Larkin Northside funeral home, Sioux City. Rev. Dennis G. Tevis of Crescent Park United Methodist church officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph cemetery at Ellendale, rural Merrill.

Mr. Bauerly was born Sept. 7, 1959 in Sioux City, and had lived there all his life. He graduated from North high school in 1977. For the past 12 years he was a carpenter and sheetrock hanger. He worked for Bo Miller Construction Co. of Sioux City.

Survivors include a son, Aaron, and a daughter, Sierra, both of Sioux City; his parents, Darwin and Yvonne Bauerly of Sioux City; a sister and her husband, Virgina and Dean Snyder of Sioux City; paternal grandmother, Marie Bauerly of Sioux City; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Smith of Kennewick, Wash.; and many relatives.
