Vera Norman Pedersen

Vera Mae Norman Pedersen, 88, of Crestview Acres, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and former Sioux City and Akron resident, died Wednesday, June 24, 1992, at a hospital in Cedar Rapids after a long illness.

Memorial services were June 24 at St. Luke's hospital chapel in Cedar Rapids with Rev. John Malone officiating. Private memorial services were June 25.

Mrs. Pedersen was born Nov. 25, 1903, in Sioux City. She married Kenneth Norman in 1927. He preceded her in death. She worked for Younkers Stores in Sioux City for 35 years as a personnel director and fashion coordinator. She married Walter H. Pedersen in 1957 in Sioux City. He preceded her in deaths. Mrs. Pedersen was a Catholic. She was a past president of the Business and Professional Women's clubs. She was the first woman executive admitted to SCORE in Sioux City.

Survivors include a son, Donald Eugene Norman of Lexington, Ky.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
