Emma Meyer, 91, of Le Mars
died Tuesday, July 28, 1992, at
Floyd Valley hospital in Le Mars.

Services were Saturday at St.
John's American Lutheran church
in Le Mars with Rev. David
Kramer officiating. Burial, was in
St. John Evangelical Lutheran
church cemetery, rural Akron,
under direction of Mauer-Johnson
funeral home.

Mrs. Meyer was born Dec. 23,
1900, in Eureka, S.D., daughter
of Christopher and Albina (Frey)
Becker. She graduated from the
Academic Department of Lutheran
College in Eureka, S.D. in
1920. She married Rev. Karl C.
Meyer Oct. 16, 1923, in Eureka.
He died June 29, 1963. She lived
in Redfield, S.D., Coatsburg, Ill.,
Nauvoo, Ill., Royal, Ill., and
moved to Le Mars in 1963.

Mrs. Meyer was a member of
St. John's American Lutheran
church and the Women of the
ELCA.

Survivors include two sons,
Robert and his wife, Helen of Las
Vegas, Nev., and Donald Meyer
of Washington, D.C.; a grandson,
Robert Meyer of Las Vegas; two
brothers, Arthur Becker Ashley,
N.D., and Edwin Becker of Milwaukee,
Wis.; a sister, Frieda
Cartwright of San Diego, Calif.;
and nieces and nephews.
