Mrs. Max Van Buskirk,46, rural Kingsley,
died Friday at a Sioux City hospital after a
brief illness.Funeral services were held Monday at the
Pierson Methodist church at 10 a.m. Dr.
George W. Dunn officiated and burial was in
the Kingsley cemetery under direction of the
Dickison-Michaelson funeral home.The former Thelma J. McQueen was born
June 18, 1922, in Grand Meadow township.She was married Sept. 9, 1942, in Sioux City
and lived in the Pierson farming community.
She was a member of the Pierson Methodist
church.Survivors are her husband; four daughters,
Mrs. Robert Brownlee and Joann Van
Buskirk, both of Cedar Rapids, Jeanne and
Vicki, both at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Warren McQueen, Pierson; a granddaughter;
one sister. Mrs. Delmer Christopherson, Sioux
City, and a brother, Dakor McQueen, Pierson.
