Clarence M. Groepper, 50, 519 W. Clifton
Ave., Sioux City, livestock commission man,
was dead on arrival Sunday at a Sioux City
hospital after being stricken al his residence.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday
at Faith Lutheran church Sioux City. Rev. A.
C. Schroeder will officiate. Burial will be in
Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of
the Nelson-Berger Northside Funeral Home.

Mr. Groepper was born Feb. 1, 1918, near
Remsen. He lived most of his life at Remsen,
moving to Sioux City nine years ago.

He was a commission man for the Peterson,
Helseth and Raby Commission firm at the
Sioux City stockyards.

He married Thelma L. Nacke Nov. 30,
1939, at Remsen. He was a member of Faith
Lutheran church in Sioux City.

Survivors are his wife, three daughters,
Mrs. Corene DeMaranville, Sioux City, Mrs.
JoAnn Arney, Aurora, 111., and Pamela
Groeper at home; his mother, Mrs. Kate
Groepper, Remsen; six brothers, Erecsi,
Alvin, Kenneth, Loren and Harry, all of
Remsen, and Walter of Elkton, S. D.; four
sisters, Mrs. William Dunne, Kingsley, Mrs.
Clarence Berding, Le Mars, Mrs. Don Nestor,
Marcus and Mrs. Leo Shanahan, South Sioux
City; and a grandchild.
