William G. Spilker

William G. Spilker, 83, died Sunday in
Indianapolis after suffering a heart attack.
Friends in Le Mars were informed of his death
by a son.

Mr. Spilker, a farm laborer, was known in
the Le Mars area as William G. Smith. He had
worked for the Lawrence Schumann family
for more than 20 years and prior to that had
been employed on other farms in the area
before his retirement.

After becoming ill in January 1966, he was
reunited with some members of his family
whom he had not seen in 37 years. He was
hospitalized at the Le Mars hospital at that
time.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at
Hendry funeral home, 11636 Fast
Washington St. Cumberland, Ind.

Survivors include two sons, Anton Spilker,
who lives in California, and Roy Spilker, who
lives in Indianapolis.
