Mrs. Larry (Rita Kay) Faust, 33, of Roland, Iowa, formerly of Westfield, died Wednesday (Dec. 24, 1986) in a Des Moines hospital after a brief illness.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 29 at Immanuel Lutheran church, Akron. The Rev. Marvin Mueller officiated. Burial was in the Westfield public cemetery under the direction of Schroeder funeral home, Akron.

Gary Tucker, vocalist, sang "In The Garden" and "How Great Thou Art". Phyllis Frisk was organist. Pallbearers were David Faust, Charles Dewey, Steve McInnis, Russell Schnee, Marvin Toben, and Doug Welch.

Mrs. Faust, the former Rita Kay Dewey, was born August 6, 1953, in Akron, to Duane and Dorothy Raby Dewey. She married Larry Faust June 23, 1971, in Akron. The couple lived in several cities while he was in the service. After his discharge, they moved to Westfield in 1981 and to Roland in 1983.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Clint and Brent, both at home; her mother, Mrs. Dorothy Wakeman of Merrill; three brothers, Jerry and Dennis Dewey, both of Westfield, and Lesley Dewey of Sioux City; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Lyle Ragan of Merrill, and paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mollie Dewey of Akron.

She was preceded in death by her father, Duane and grandfathers, Lyle Ragan and Lester Dewey.
