Matthew Oetken, one-day-old son of Brett and Vicki Oetken of Merrill, died Tuesday, March 30, 1993, at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center, Sioux City.

Funeral services were held at St. Peter Lutheran church, Brunsville, with Rev. Jack Hebard officiating. Burial was in St. Peter cemetery, Brunsville.

Matthew was born March 29, 1993, at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center, Sioux City, the son of Brett and Vicki (Norby)Oetken.

Survivors include his parents; two sisters, Sarah and Lindsey, at home; grandparents, Alwayne and Kathleen Oetken of Le Mars, and Raymond and Nancy Norby of Rudd, Iowa; and great-grandparents, Kenneth and Henrietta Farmer of Brunsville, Theresia Reser of Charles City, Clara Oetken of Le Mars, and Hazel Farmer of Le Mars.
