WILLIAM TRElBER , 75,
RETIRED FARMER AND
AUCTIONEER DEAD
AFTER BRIEF ILLNESS

William Treiber, 75, lifelong
resident of Le Mars and
the Ireton vicinities, died
Thursday at his home in Le
Mars after a brief illness. He
was a retired farmer and auctioneer.

Funeral services will be at
2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at
Grace Lutheran church here.
Rev. H. H. Mevor will officiate.

Burial will be in Pleasant
Hill cemetery, Ireton, under
direction of Mauer's funeral
home.

Mr. Treiber was born Jan.
16, 1887, in Le Mars, a son of
the late Jacob and Emma Erny
Treiber. His marriage to
Martha Renken took place Sept.
17, 1913, at Sioux City.

He was a member of Grace
Lutheran church and the
church's voters assembly and
Fellowship league, and served
on the board of directors of the
Security Savings Bank at Ireton.

Mr. Treiber had made his
home in Le Mars the last 17
years.

Surviving are his wife. Martha
of Le Mars; one son, Glenn
of Hudson. S. D.: two daughters,
Mrs. A. N. (Blanche) Kass
of Highmore. S.D.. and Mrs.
George (Eileen) Webster of
Phoenix. Ariz.; 10 grandchildren;
two brothers, George of
Alcester, S. D., and Peter
of Hawarden, and a sister, Mrs.
Louis Wegner of Hawarden.

He was preceded in death by
three brothers and a sister.
