MRS. LOUIS HOOPS
OF KINGSLEY DEAD

Funeral services for Mrs.
Louis Hoops, 74, Kingsley, will
be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St.
Paul Lutheran church at Holstein,
with Rev. Arnold E. Sommers
officiating.

Burial will be in the Holstein
cemetery.

Mrs. Hoops, the former Margaretha
Pieper, died Saturday,
Jan. 20, at a Sioux City hospital
following a brief illness.

She was born June 29, 1893,
in Sioux county. She was married
Nov. 27, 1912, at Cushing,
and the couple had farmed in
Cherokee county until three
years ago when they moved
into Kingsley.

Survivors are her husband; a
son, Ornann of Denver; five
daughters, Mrs. Orville Wirt of
Parker, S. D.; Mrs. Clarence
Erickson of Steen, Minn., Mrs.
Walter Bride Jr. of Kingsley;
Mrs. Maynard Claussen of Las
Vegas; and Mrs. Marvel Eihausen
of Denver; three brothers,
Gus and William, both of Rexby,
Idaho, and Emil of Jackson,
Mont.; 21 grandchildren
and 10 great-grandchildren.
