OBITUARY, The Sioux City Journal, 4 August 2006: Burton Allen Ostrihonsky, 41, of Sioux City died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 2, 2006, at his residence. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Merlin Schrad of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church officiating. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burton was born October 19, 1964, in Sioux City, the son of Richard Francis and Donna Jean (Haring) Ostrihonsky. He attended grade school in Westfield, Iowa and graduated from Sioux City East High School in 1982. He was a life long resident of the Sioux City area. He was a sub-contractor as a masonry and assisted a farmer with farming chores. He enjoyed fishing, animals and searching for mushrooms.
Survivors include his parents, Richard and Donna Ostrihonsky of Sioux City; a brother and his wife, Joe and Mary Ostrihonsky of Sioux City; three sisters, Rashelle and her husband, Bruce Burr of Sergeant Bluff, Ronnette Wohlfeil of Sun City, Florida, and Toni and her husband, Scott Dwyer of Sioux City; his grandmother, Emma Haring of Sioux City; aunts, uncles and cousins; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James and his twin Barton Ostrihonsky; and his grandparents, Frank Ostrihonsky, Pauline Provancha, Dennis Provancha and Ernest Haring.
