Otto Remer Died On Wednesday
Lived In Le Mars For Fifty Years

Otto W. Remer, who lived in Le Mars for a half century, died September 5, in Sacred Heart hospital after a protracted illness, aged 79 years, 10 months and 17 days.

Otto Remer was born in Fon du Lac, Wisconsin, October 18, 1865, and came to Le Mars in the 90's. He was married in 1900 to Mary Matthews.

He was employed for many years as an engineer at the Plymouth Mill. His parents were Frederick and Sophia Remer, pioneer residents in this community.

Mr. Remer is survived by his son Lyle, living in Sioux City, a grandson, five brothers, Fred, Ben Charles, Lou and Harry, and one sister, Mrs. Emma Hansen. His parents, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

The funeral will be at the Mauer Funeral Home at 2 p. m. Friday with Rev. L. L. Belk of St. John's American Lutheran church In charge.

Burial will be in the Le Mars city cemetery.
