Charles Logan, 26,
killed in crash;
rites Wednesday

Charles Logan, 26, Bloomington, Minn.,
step-son of James Mead, Brunsville, and
son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Hodgson, Le
Mars, was killed Sunday morning in a car
accident near Pine River, Minn.

Mr. and Mrs. Hodgson and Clayton
Hodgson left Sunday morning for the Logan
home. A service is being planned at
Bloomington Tuesday and the body will be
brought to Le Mars for services Wednesday.

Mr. Logan lost his life when a pickup in
which he was a passenger left a county road
and struck a utility pole.

Mr. Logan, a mechanic for American Oil
Co. was born Aug. 13,1942, in California. He
had lived in California and at Brunsville and
for the last five years at Bloomington.

His wife is the former Marianne Hodgson
of Le Mars. His parents were the late Charles
Albert and Olive Leslie Logan.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2
p m. at the Mauer funeral chapel in Le Mars.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery
at Brunsville.

Survivors are his wife, Marianne; a
daughter, Roberta at home; his step-father,
James Mead, Brunsville; a step-brother, James
Mead Jr., and two step-sisters, Emma and
Judy Mead, all of Brunsville, and his
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Leslie in
California.

He was preceded in death by his parents
and a sister, Nora Logan, who died in 1960.
