Funeral services for Jake Vander
Schaaf, 76, who died Thursday
were held at 2 p.m. Saturday
at the Vander Ploeg Funeral
Home. Sioux Center. Rev. A.
Kinrade of Le Mars officiated
and interment was in the Sioux Center
community cemetery.

Mr. Vander Schaaf was born
January 21, 1884, at Sioux Center
and lived there until moving
to LeMars about 25 years ago.

Survivors include three sons,
John of Westfield, Ervin of Fremont,
Neb., and Anthony of Reseda.
Calif: three daughters, Mrs.
Gerrit Gerritson of Rock Valley,
la., Mrs. Lane Willemstein of
Dunn la., and Mrs. Clifford Wassenaar
of Le Mars; a brother,
Ring of Sioux Center; 21 grandchildren
and seven great-grandchildren.
