Virgil F. Campbell, 66, Sioux City,
died unexpectedly Thursday, July
11, 1991 in a Sioux City hospital.

Services were held Monday at
Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel,
Sioux City. Rev. Krishen A. Persaud
of Our Saviour Lutheran church and
Rev. Gene Walding officiated. Burial
was in Logan Park cemetery, Sioux
City. A wake service led by Rev.
John Thomas of St. Joseph Catholic
church was held at the funeral home.

Mr. Campbell was born Nov. 27,
1924 in Sioux City where he lived all
his life. He married Darlene Dagel,
April 28, 1948 in Sioux City. He
worked at the Sioux City Stockyards
for over 25 years, then in Union
county, S.D. maintenance department,
retiring in 1975. He married
Norma J. Burke March 19, 1977.
He was a longtime member of the
Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Survivors include his wife, Norma;
two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis
and Susan of Sioux City and
Thomas and Marie of Harlingen,
Tex.; a step-daughter and her husband
Susan and Steve Behrens of
Sioux City; three sisters, Vera Eslick
of Elk Point, S.D., Gail Lilly and
Gladys Beaubien of Westfield; six
grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two'
brothers, Don and Harold.
