Thomas M. Hummel, 82,
Jefferson, S.D., died Monday
at his residence after a brief
illness.

Mr. Hummel was born April
10, 1877, in Union county, S. D.
He moved to Plymouth county
As a young man. He married
Goldie F. Coppock Oct. 28,
1903, in Sioux City. The
Couple moved to Union
In 1936.

Mr. Hummel was a member
Of the Elk Point Congregational
Church and Masonic lodge 3,
A.F. and F. M.

Survivors include the widow;
Five sons, Earl of Jefferson, Lynn,
Floyd and Thomas, all of Elk Point;
and Gordon of Viborg, S. D.;
three daughters, Mrs. Verda
Klapprodt and Mrs. Mary Jane
Rosenbaum, both of Jefferson,
And Mrs. Sylvia Rosenbaum of
Renville, Minn.; two brothers,
Fred of Elk Point and George of
Westfield; three sisters, Mrs.
Margaret Skog of Campbell
And Mrs. Ida Morehead,
Both of Sioux City; 22 grand-
children and 10 great-grand-
children.

Funeral services will be at
2 p.m. Wednesday at the
Westfield Cemetery. Lodge
3 will have charge of Masonic
Rites.

Pallbearers will be members of
The Elk Point Masonic lodge.

The body was taken to the
W. Harry Christy Funeral Home
Sioux City.
