Mrs. Bobby Albert
Mrs. Lorna (Bobby) Albert, 62, LeMars, died Monday (July 2, 1979) at St. Joseph’s hospital, Sioux City, after an extended illness. She had moved to LeMars 2 ½ years ago to live with her sister.
Bobby Brown was born Sept. 7, 1919, in LeMars to Charles and Florence (Betsworth) Brown. She was married to Carl Albert Feb. 14, 1952, at Dakota City. (NOTE: The year of birth engraved on her tombstone is 1916, not 1919 as this obituary says.)
She had lived in LeMars and moved in 1958 to Sioux City where she operated Bobby’s Café for many years.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in LeMars with Rev. Robert Hanthorn officiating. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery under the direction of the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home.
Survivors are three sons, Richard Cornish, Moberly, Mo.; Harry Cornish, Sioux City, and Wayne Albert, Moberly, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Barbara) Girard, Homer, Neb.; Mrs. Bob (Pat) Bogner, Winner, S.D., and Mrs. Stephan (Janet) Warner, Sioux City; a sister, Mrs. Lilah Donlin, of LeMars; 17 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
