Death Claims Craig Woman
Mrs. F. Oloff Passed Away Saturday In Hawarden Hospital
Mrs. Fred H. Oloff, a well known and highly respected citizen of Craig, passed away at the Hawarden hospital at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon from a stroke and complications. She had been a patient at the hospital for two weeks and during this time it was known that her condition was critical.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Craig Lutheran church and interment was made in Craig Cemetery.
The deceased, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Popke Popken, was born in Plymouth county Feb, 21, 1884, and passed away Jan. 17, 1942, at the Hawarden hospital. She lacked little more than a month of having attained the age of 58 years. She had lived in the Craig vicinity for many years and her husband is engaged in the hardware business at that place. Besides her husband she is survived by three children, Elmer and Emral Oloff and Mrs. Emma Schuette, all of Craig. She also leaves three brothers, Herman, John and Gerritt Popken, also of Craig.
