William Bruns

William Henrick Bruns of Brunsville died at his home there on March 27, 1939 alter a sickness which lasted five years. He was a retired farmer, who had lived in Brunsville for 23 years.

Mr. Bruns was born December 24, 1891 at Raymond, South Dakota. His parents were the late John C. Bruns and Mary Jensen Bruns. He was married to Hannah Rieken on February 2, 1922 at Le Mars.

Funeral services were held today, March 30 at l:30 p.m. at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Brunsville with Rev. Cyril Jandry officiating. Burial was in the Brunsville cemetery under direction of the Luken Funeral home, in Le Mars.

Casket bearers were Henry McHale, Jack McHale, John Siebens, Orville Siebens, Elmer Bruns and Charles Buhman.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, William, Jr., of Brunsville John Bruns of Sioux City; three sisters, Mrs. Martha Mulder of Billings Montana; Mrs. Henry Dirks of Akron; Mrs. Marie Dirks of Denver; one brother. Louis Bruns of Craig and 7 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Margaret; a brother and 2 sisters.
