Mrs. Sharp Allen, 73, Hawarden died Thursday at the Hawarden Hospital.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Mon­day in Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden. The Rev. Dwight Rengstorf officiated. Burial was in the Grace Hill Cemetery under direction of the Dow Funeral Home. A prayer service was at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.

Mrs. Allen, the former Marie Martha Ball, was born August 1, 1904, near Hawarden. She was married Sept. 9, 1922 in Hawarden.

Mrs. Allen was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was employed by Northwestern Bell Co. for 20 years until she retired in 1964.

Survivors include the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Velma Jensen of Alcester and Mrs. Lila Lewis of Sac City, two sons. Winfred of Sac City and Bill of Hawarden; a brother. Ewald Ball of Le Mars; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
