Ewald A. Ball, 96, of Le Mars, Iowa, died on Tuesday, June 14, 1993 (Tuesday is June 15), at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.
Services were held on Friday morning, June 18, 1993, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars, where he was a member, the Reverend Gary Landsness officiating, Burial was in Memorial cemetery at Le Mars, under the direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home of Le Mars.
Mr. Ball was born September 9, 1896, in Sioux County, Iowa, to Theodore and Ida (Brandt) Ball. He married Florence Caroline Yates on January 17, 1923, at Hawarden, Iowa. The couple farmed in Sioux and Plymouth Counties before moving into Le Mars in 1945. Mrs. Ball died November 6, 1975.
Survivors include a daughter Blanche Cronin of Le Mars, two sons and daughters-in-law. Clarence and Johnnie Ball of Boone. Iowa and Eugene and Mary Ball of Branson, Missouri; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and a sister-in-law, Bernice Ball of Le Mars.
He was preceded in death by his parents: four sisters and two brothers.
