Funeral services for George H. Buehler, 66, former Le Mars resident who died Sunday at his home in Palos Vedes Estates, Cal., after a brief illness, will be at 2 p. m. Friday at the Mauer funeral home here. Rev. H. W. Farnham, pastor of the Grace Methodist church in Sioux City will officiate and burial will be-in the Le Mars city cemetery.
Mr. Buehler was born August 28, 1889, in ____field, S. D. He moved to Le Mars with his parents at the age of 3. He resided here until 1910 and attended Westmar college. He also attended Cedar Rapids college, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
In 1912 he went to the Canal Zone, Panama, as a government employee where he lived until his retirement in 1950.
He was a member of various Masonic bodies, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Community church in Palos Verdes Estates.
Survivors include the widow; a son, Howard of Panama; five sisters Mrs. Clarence Councilman of Parma, Idaho, Mrs. George Kuhler of Wakonda, S. D., Mrs. Lucie Shaefer of Parker, S. D., and Mrs. Mary Sampson and Miss Clara Buehler, both of Sioux City; a brother, Clarence of Mitchell, S. D., and three grandchildren.
