Ralph T. Hoogland August 26. 1921-May31, 1991

Ralph T. "Bud" Hoogland, 69, of Ireton died Saturday. May 31, at Valley Manor Nursing Home In Rock Valley.

Services were at 10:30 a. m. Tues­day, June 3. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Perry Schefe1ker officiatlng. Burial was In Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Hoogland was born August 26, 1927, near McNally, the son of Jacob and Olga (Ball) Hoogland. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He attended country near McNally and attended Hawarden High School. He served in the U. S. Army. He married Charleen Maston on June 11, 1950, in Hawar­den. He was employed with Siouxland Propane in Ireton for 34 1/2 years. He served 22 years as a volunteer fire­man on the Ireton Fire Department.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where he was an elder and trustee. He enjoyed bird watching.

Survivors include his wife of Rocky Valley: a daughter and her husband, Carla and Randal Roghalr of Creston; two sons and their wives, the Rev. Kevin and Sandra of Merrill, Wiscon­sin, and Kent and Marva of Ireton; four sisters, Elwanda Willer of Phoenix. Arizona, Neva and her hus­band Jarold Van Donge, and Phyllis Anderson, all of Ireton. and Iona and her husband Ernie Harms of Billings, Montana: and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded tn death by his parents and two sisters, Betty Hoogland and Shirley Harvey.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton.
