Dean B. Harms, 27. of Marcus, was found dead Tuesday, June 2, 1987, at his home in Marcus.

Memorial services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 4, in Grace United Methodist Church in Marcus. Ad­ditional services were at 1 p.m. Satur­day, June 6 in Trinity Lutheran Church in Estelline,SD. Pastor Lloyd Menke officiated. Visitation was from noon to p.m. Friday, June in the Geise Funeral Home in Estelline.

Mr. Harms was born September 10. 1959, in Hawarden. He graduated from Estelline High School in 1977 and from Canby. MN, Vo Tech College. He was employed as a diesel mechanic for eight years at Canby Implement and two years at Jacobsen Motors in Wheaton, MN. He had been employed at Gross Implement in Marcus the last two months.

Survivors include his parents, Arthur and Darlene Harms of Estelline; a brother, Russell of Hartley; two sisters, Mrs. John (Sheryl) Hase of Marcus and Mrs. Marlo (Carla) Reihe, of Brookings, SD. and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jurgen Harms of Ireton.

Cherokee County Coroner, Dr. Gene Michel ruled the death was a suicide.
