Tina Ortmann, 52, of Le Mars, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb., after a brief illness.

The former Tina Renae Pridie was born April 12, 1957, in San Raphael, Calif., the daughter of Raymond and Viola (Hodson) Pridie. She moved with her parents to Sioux City as a young girl and attended schools in Sioux City and graduated from East High School in 1975.

She was employed by Schweitzer-Beeson Commission Firm at the Sioux City Stockyards.

On Aug. 14, 1976, Tina married Tom Ortmann at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen. Following their marriage the couple made their home on a farm in the Remsen area. In 1988 Tom and Tina moved to Le Mars. Since that time Tina had been employed for a few years with Alco and then with Standard Office Supply and Perkins Office Solutions.

Tina was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars and a member of and past president of the Altar Society. She was also a member of and past grand reagent of the Catholic Daughters of America and a Le Mars Chamber of Commerce member.

Tina enjoyed crafting in her spare time and loved attending craft shows. She also enjoyed visiting with people and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband Tom Ortmann of Le Mars; a son and his wife, Joe and Kristin Ortmann; a grandchild due to be born in June; two brothers and their families: Jeff and Paula Pridie and their two children Beth and Erinn of Faribault, Minn., and Chris and Michelle Pridie and their three children Cassie, Tonia and Chris, Jr. of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a step-father Bob Gormely.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars, with the Rev. Matt Hewitt presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitations will be anytime after 3 p.m. today (Monday) at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars, where there will be a combined rosary by the parish and Catholic Daughters at 4 p.m. and a vigil wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be for one hour prior to the mass on Tuesday morning at the Church.

The Feuerstein Funeral Home is assisting Tina's family with arrangements. Pallbearers will be Sam Ortmann, Andy Ortmann, Kevin Ortmann, Chris Ortmann, Scott Brown and Jerry Galvin.
