T. Janssen Funeral Rites Held Sunday

Funeral services for Theodore Janssen, 49, who died Wednesday, December 24, after suffering a heart attack, were held Sunday, December 28 at 2 o'clock at the St. John's American Lutheran church in Craig. The Rev. W. K. Schmidt officiated with burial in the church cemetery.

Theodore Janssen, who lived one mile north and one east of Craig was born November 20, 1903, in Rispel, Germany. He came to the United States in 1924 and lived with an uncle in Sioux county.

He married October 4, 1928 to Adeline Popken at the home of her parents in Plymouth county. They lived on farms in Plymouth and Sioux counties.

He was a member of St. John's American Lutheran church in Craig, served on the church board for a number of years and was a member of the Brotherhood. He was also a member of the Plymouth County Fair Board.

Survivors are the wife, Adeline; eight children, Mrs. Harold (Delores) Harms, LeMars; Donald, Della, Marven, Joann, Betty, Beverly and Barbara all at home. Also two brothers Henry and Johann and two sisters , Sophia and Margarthe all in Germany.
