Hawarden Independent, Hawarden, Sioux, Iowa, USA Thursday July 13, 1995

Wilma Utesch, 82, of Hawarden died Wednesday, July 5, 1995, at her home.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Hawarden with the Rev. Dean Shelly officiating. Burial was at 4 p.m. in Arlington Cemetery in Moville. Visitation was at noon Monday, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, at the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.

Mrs. Utesch, the former Wilma Hite was born April 3, 1913, in Texas, the daughter of Clyde and Ann Hite. She married Lem Androy in February 1928 in Moorhead. The couple lived in Moorhead and Hornick, area. She worked for 18 years at Younkers/Martins Store in Sioux City, retiring September 14, 1975. The couple made their home in Hawarden. He died December 24, 1987.

Mrs. Utesch was a member of the Hawarden Hospital Auxiliary, where she worked as a volunteer in the Thrift Store. She was also active in United Methodist Women and Church Bible Study, and was an avid gardener who loved flowers.

Survivors include two sons, James Androy of Puyallup, Washington and Roland Androy of Jupiter, Florida;
A stepson, James Utesch of Le Mars; a daughter Patricia (Horton) and her husband Paul Milbrodt of Moville; two step-daughters, Gery Lockhorst of Hawarden and Judy Zoeller of Ireton; several half brothers and half sisters; four grand daughters; two grandsons; 10 step grandchildren; 10 great grand children; nine step great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters; Iva and Lee; a son Donald Androy; and a great grandson,Troy Butters.
