Mrs. Walter Utesch

Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hawarden, at 10:30 a.m. January 12 for Mrs. Walter Utesch, 51, of Hawarden who died January 9, in a Hawarden hospital after a long illness.

Services were conducted by the Rev. William Carel and burial was in the parish cemetery at Hawarden.

Mrs. Utesch, the former Leone Muth, was born August 18, 1922, in Hawarden. She was married on June 2, 1941, at Hawarden.

She was the president of the Hawarden hospital auxiliary and a member of St. Mary’s Guild and Hawarden Saddle Club.

Survivors include the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Geraldine McKee of Hawarden and Mrs. Wendell (Judy) Zoeller of Ireton; a son, Jim of Hawarden; five grandchildren and a brother, Wayne Muth of Ankeny, Iowa.
