Norma Amelia Becker, 89, of Le Mars, Iowa, died on Sunday, May 9, 1993, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.

Services were scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, May 12, 1993, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Le Mars, the Reverend David Kramer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery at Le Mars under the direction of Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Miss Becker was born December 11, 1903, in Reading Township, Sioux County, Iowa, the daughter of Henry F. and Elizabeth (Klinge) Becker.

Miss Becker graduated from Le Mars High School in 1922, attended Western Union College in Le Mars. For two years, and then received her teaching degree from Iowa State Teachers College. She taught rural school in Plymouth County for one year, and then taught in the Des Moines schools for 41 years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and Sarah Circle, Women of the E.L.C.A.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Henry, Louis, Emil, Alwin and Helmuth; and five sisters, Amelia, Matilda, Lillian, Amanda and an infant, Bertha
