Lawrence W. Heeren, 83, of Le Mars, Iowa, died on Wednesday, May 5, 1993, at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars.

Services were held on Saturday afternoon at Christ Lutheran Church of rural Le Mars, where he was a member, the Reverend Stephany Sanborn officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Mr. Heeren was born June 16, 1909, in rural Plymouth County, Iowa, near Le Mars, the son of John J. and Anna (Monke) Heeren. He was a lifelong Plymouth County resident and retired farmer.

Survivors include two sisters, Ruth Dose and Rose C. Ludwigs, both of Le Mars; a sister in law, Regina Heeren of Le Mars; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Walter, and Harry; a nephew, Kenneth Baack; and a niece Shirley Riffey.
