Henry Ludwigs, Sr., of Craig passed away at his home in Craig, Monday (January 24, 1938), following a long illness. His wife preceded him in death only a short time ago, passing away December 1st. Mr. Ludwigs was one of the highly respected and substantial citizens of Craig and had many friends in Ireton.

He was married to Anna Hartman in Plymouth county in 1878 and eleven children were born to this union, three of whom preceded him in death. The eight children who survive are Mrs. Lena Minnets, Gert and William Ludwigs of Chatsworth, and Mr. H. Tammen, Otto, Henry, Eilert and Fostoria Ludwigs of Craig. He was a faithful worker in the Lutheran church.
