R. G. Edmunds Dies at Age 68

Funeral services for R. G. Edmunds, 68, long time Hawarden resident, who died Saturday (December 7, 1957, at the home of his son, Milo, following a long illness, were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church. Rev. C. E. Custer officiated with burial in Grace Hill cemetery under the direction of the Barnard Funeral home.

Mr. Edmunds was born June 29, 1889, in Canada and moved to Hawarden at the age of six months.

He married Christina Eichcoldt of Hawarden. They farmed in the Hawarden community.

Survivors include the mother, Mrs. William Edmunds, and the widow, Christina, both of Hawarden, two daughters, Mrs. Edna Garner of El Centro, Calif., and Mrs. Carmen Green of Hawarden; two sons, Milo and Dale, both of Hawarden; two sisters, Mrs. Essie Burton of Hawarden and Mrs. Florence Pharr of Roseville,Calif., a brother, Milton of Alcester and five grandchildren.
