Mrs. Roy Edmunds Dies at Age 68

Mrs. Roy Edmunds, 68, died at a Cherokee hospital Wednesday morning (March 29, 1961). Date and time of funeral services are pending word from relatives. Rev. C.E. Custer will officiate at the Barnard Funeral home.

Mrs. Edmunds nee Christina Eichcoldt, was born September 16, 1892, at Chesley, Canada, and came to the United States at the age of 16, settling in Sioux county.

She married Roy Edmunds at Hartford, S.D. July 23, 1910 and lived in this vicinity all her married life.

Preceding her in death were her husband, December 7, 1957, a grandson, Rodney, who was killed in an auto accident last year.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Chester Garner of El Centro, Calif., and Mrs. Lyle Green of Hawarden, two sons, Milo and Dale Edmunds, both of Hawarden, four sisters, one in Montana, two in the state of Washington and one in Canada; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Rites Held for Mrs. Roy Edmunds Friday Afternoon

Funeral services for Mrs. Roy Edmunds, 63, who died at a Cherokee hospital last Wednesday (March 29, 1961, were held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon. Rev. C. E. Custer officiating at the Barnard Funeral home.

Burial was the following afternoon delayed until the arrival of a daughter, Mrs. Chester Garner, of El Centro, Calif.,

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lyle Green; two sons, Milo and Dale Edmunds, all of Hawarden; four sisters, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
