Frank G. Wells, 72, of Ireton passed away Thursday morning (June 20, 1957) about 2:30 a.m. in the Hawarden hospital following a long sickness. He was born December 25, 1885 and was a life long resident of the Craig community.

On January 5, 1911 he was united in marriage to Miss Alice McDougall at LeMars. They farmed northeast of Craig for many years retiring to Ireton about 4 years ago.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 22, at 1:30 p.m. at the Satterlee Funeral and at 2:00 p.m. from the Methodist church with burial in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Rev. T.M. King will officiate.

Survivors beside the widow are three daughters, Mrs. Elmer VanderHam of Ireton, Mrs. Mike Schnee of Sioux City, Mrs. Wm. Boddy of Leeds; 5 sons, Milton of Sioux Falls, So. Dakota, Charles of Lake Benton, Minn., Allen of Morrison, Minn., Willis of Ireton, and Merle of Leeds; 2 brothers, Earl Wells of Ireton, Clark Wells of Coolridge, Arizona, a sister, Mrs. Mary Thompson of Oakland, Calif., 22 grandchildren and a number of relatives from the LeMars community.
