Clarence Eilers, 72, Alcester died Monday, February 9, 1981 in a Hawarden hospital.

Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday in Nathanael Lutheran Church. The Rev. Charles Peterson officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery at Hawarden under the direction of the Wass Funeral Home.

Mr. Eilers was born February 13, 1908, in Plymouth County, Iowa, and moved to Hawarden as a child. He attended schools there. On June 5, 1930, he married Gladys Ogden at Hawarden. The couple farmed in the Hawarden-Alcester area until moving to Alcester in 1976.

Mr. Eilers had lived in Morningside Manor at Alcester since last June.

Survivors include the widow; three sons, Jerry, Eldon and Dennis, Hawarden; a sister, Mrs. John Wilkison of Hawarden; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
