Pioneer Woman Laid To Rest In Lincoln Township CemeteryServices were held this morning at 9:30 at St. James church with Father B. A. Bauer singing the requiem mass for Mrs. Margaret Connor. Burial was in the St. Joseph cemetery at Lincoln Township with the Wiltgen funeral home in charge.
Mrs. Margaret Connor of LeMars passed away Friday, Feb. 9, at the Sacred Heart Hospital. She had been in failing health the past two years.
At the time of her death she was 82 years, 2 months and nine days. She was born Nov. 30, 1862, in Clare county, Ireland, and at the age of 13 came to America and has lived in this community since.
She was the daughter of Michael and Bridget Considine. Mrs. Connor was united in marriage at St. James church by Father Barron to John Connor, who preceded her in death.
Survivors are two sons, Mike and Hugh Connor, one daughter, Mrs. Geo. Sheehan, and seven grandchildren, all of LeMars.
Mrs. Connor was an active member of the Ladies Aid society of St. James church. For the past two years she has made her home with Mrs. Dwyer and Mrs. Dunn.
