MRS. E. BRAUNE

LE MARS, Iowa—Mrs. Elmer Braune, 81, LeMars, died Wednesday in a hospital at LeMars of brief illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. John Lutheran Church at Merrill. The Rev. Harold Norheim will officiate. Burial will be in Hill-Side Cemetery at Merrill.

There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Friday, in the Mauer Funeral Home at LeMars.

Mrs. Braune, the former Anna Louise Kammeier, was born June 13, 1898, rural Merrill.

She was married Dec. 25, 1923, at LeMars. They farmed in Washington Township, rural Merrill, until 1959, when they retired and moved to LeMars. Mr. Braune died in June 1965.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, the American Lutheran Church Women and the Sunshine Club.

Survivors include a son, Norman, of Durham, N.C.; a daughter, Mrs. William (Carleen) Kehrberg of Sheldon; two brothers, Henry of Sunland, Calif., and William of Omaha; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Knoor of Fulda, Minn., and Mrs. Elsie Gillmann of Rock Rapids; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
