W. J. SULLIVAN
William J. Sullivan, lifetime resident of LeMars and vicinity passed away following a heart attack at his home on Saturday. Mr. Sullivan lived at 414 2nd St. NW.
Mr. Sullivan was born June 1, 1890, in Plymouth county, near LeMars, the son of John and Winifred Sullivan. He was married to Nona Carel on January 21, 1914, at LeMars. The couple lived on a farm south of LeMars for several years. Upon retirement they moved to their present home in LeMars. Mr. Sullivan was sixty-six years of age and had been custodian of Clark School for six years.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, at St. James Catholic Church in LeMars with Father L.J. LaVelle officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:00 Sunday evening.
Survivors include his wife, Nona; two sons, Edmund of LeMars and Harold of Minneapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Earl Britton of Sheldon and Mrs. Gene Peters of Omaha; eleven grandchildren also survive as does one brother, Ray Sullivan of Sioux City and three sisters, Miss Edna Sullivan of Lynnwood, Calif., Mrs. Art Bauerly and Mrs. Bob Bond, both of Bell Garden, Calif.
Two sons, Floyd and Leslie preceded him in death. Deceased was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
