FRED KLAVE

Fred Carl William Klave who resided at 427 3rd Avenue Southwest, LeMars passed away at his home December 18, 1959, after a sickness which lasted a year.

Mr. Klave was born May 22, 1886, near Ireton in Sioux County and retired from a farm in Lincoln township in 1932. He was married to Rose Schmidt on May 22, 1911, at Trinity Lutheran Church near Hinton. His parents were Katherine Johnson Klave and Henry Klave.

Funeral services were held today, Monday, December 21, at 2 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church with burial in the City Cemetery under the direction of the Mauer Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Urban Kruse, John Bock, Ed DeJager, Ed Beck, Ed Kruger and Pete Bock.

Survivors include his wife, Rose; children, Mrs. Otto (Irene) Blackmore, of Merrill; Marvin of Cherokee; Lawrence in armed forces; Mrs. Al (Anita) Rogelstad; Vernon Klave, Mrs. Merlin (Iona) Blackmore and Mrs. Walter (Bernice) Neff, all of LeMars; Donald Klave of Sioux City; and Mrs. George (Joan) Trometer of Sioux City.

Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and two brothers, Eilert and Clay Klave of Sioux City and two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Bock of Sioux City and Mrs. Augusta May of LeMars.
