LORENA ELIZABETH FARMER

Mrs. George (Lorena Elizabeth) Farmer, 73, who had been an invalid for over 32 years, passed away at Sacred Heart Hospital on November 23. Her home was at 909 2nd Ave. SW and she resided the past two years at the hospital.

Lorena E. Fett was born September 21, 1886, at Van Horne, Iowa. As a young lady she moved to South Dakota. On January 12, 1907, she was united in marriage with George William Farmer at DeSmet, South Dakota. He passed away in 1954. In 1912 the couple began farming in Plymouth County. In 1946 they retired to LeMars.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, at Mauer Funeral Home with Rev. L.L. Belk officiating. Burial will be in LeMars City Cemetery under direction of Mauer’s.

Survivors include children, Mrs. Rozella Merritt of LeMars; Arthur, Vernon and Kenneth of LeMars; fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five sisters, and six brothers. Two sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death.
