MC CORMACK FUNERAL ON SATURDAY

Funeral services for Joe McCormack, 48, former well-known LeMars businessman who died Tuesday morning at Huntington Memorial hospital, Pasadena, California, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Luken Funeral Home in LeMars.

Rev. G.O. Thompson, of LeMars, will officiate and burial will be in City Cemetery under the direction of the Luken Funeral Home.

Mr. McCormack had undergone surgery for a gall bladder ailment at the Pasadena hospital last week.

He was born August 5, 1911, at Paint Lake, Ky. He graduated fro Blue Ridge School for Boys at Hendersonville, N.C. and came to LeMars in 1935.

He and his mother owned and operated the Union Hotel here for 10 years after coming here. Later Mr. McCormack purchased the Westmar airport and established and air conditioning and refrigeration distributorship there.

He married Marcene Schroeder of Alton, September 29, 1948, at Fremont, Neb. Mr. and Mrs. McCormack moved to Pasadena, California, last year where Mr. McCormack engaged in the broaster distributorship business.

He is survived by his wife, Marcene; his mother, Mrs. Anna McCormack of LeMars; two sisters, Mrs. George Beck, of Clare, Mich., and Mrs. Milton Zeiner, of Cherokee.
