LE MARS, Iowa -- Charles F. "Forry" Vogt, 89, of Le Mars died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003, at the Plymouth Care Center in Le Mars.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Story Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Ames, Iowa, with the Rev. Bruce Rapp of First Congregational Church of Aurelia, Iowa officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are with Carlsen Funeral Home of Le Mars.
Charles Forrest Vogt was born Oct. 9, 1914 at Shipley, Iowa to Charles Arthur and Della (Bates) Vogt.
Charles married Erma Rullestad in Ames, Iowa. In the summer of 1989, "Forry" and Dorothy Ross Scott were united in marriage.
He was a member of First Congregational Church of Aurelia. He enjoyed antiques, flea markets, model trains and his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Le Mars; a son, Richard of Aurelia, Iowa; three grandchildren, Julie and her husband, Joe Hunt, of Mason City, Iowa, Susan Vogt of Aurelia and Jeff Vogt and his wife, Angie, of Austin, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Nathan, Tyler and Haley Hunt, Kelsey, Kyle and Rylee Vogt; a sister, Angeline Hill of Boone, Iowa; three stepchildren, Lisa and her husband, Roy Drake, of Washta, Iowa, Lori and her husband, Wendell Krause, of Le Mars and Tony and his wife, Kimberly Ross, of Marcus, Iowa; three stepgrandchildren, Derek and Ashley Krause and Trent Sutter.
"Forry" was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; a daughter-in-law, Jeanne Vogt; and a brother, Claude.
