Marcella K. Vanderham, 95, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home.
Services will be 10 a.m Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Gerald Hartz officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mrs. Vanderham was born July 21, 1907, in Chatsworth, Iowa, the daughter of Hugh and Mary (Hopkins) Dalgliesh. She grew up in the Chatsworth area and attended country school.
She married Roy Vanderham on Aug. 22, 1929, in Akron, Iowa. The couple came to Sioux City in 1948 and had lived here since. Mr. Vanderham died Dec. 16, 1965, in Sioux City.
She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Francis Vanderham of Monroe, Wash., and James L. Vanderham of Sioux City; two daughters, Sally Mote of Lawton, Okla., and Mary and her husband, Charles McCleery, of Las Vegas, Nev.; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, George and Bill; 10 brothers and sisters; two grandchildren, Tim McCleery and Marcie Mae Vanderham; and a great-granddaughter, Holly Vanderham.
