WAS A LONG TIME RESIDENT HERE

Charles P. Beguin, a former resident of this vicinity, died last week Thursday night in his home at Sioux City, after a lingering illness. He was 73 years of age.

Mr. Beguin was a resident of this vicinity for many years, having spent 30 years operating farms near Hinton, and in Woodbury County. Prior to that time, he spent five years in LeMars where he was in the implement business. He was born on March 23, 1863.

Surviving are the widow, Stella, of Sioux City; three sons, Frank, of Hinton, Phillip and Gaylord, of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Vertz and Miss Lucille, both of Sioux City; four brothers, John of Portland, Ore., James, Ernest and Jules, all of Canada; six sisters,, Mrs. Belle Strait of Humboldt, Iowa, Mrs. Mary Barrett of Des Moines, Mrs. Annie Bannon of Morris, Ill., Mrs. Nell McKee of Siloam Springs, Ark., Mrs. Grace Vohs of Ceylon, Minn., and Mrs. Mabel Wyant of Sioux City.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the home and at 2:30 in Wesley Methodist church at Leeds, with the pastor, Rev. J.E. Feller, officiating. Burial was made in Logan Park Cemetery.
